Wolf Island
Our class will read “Wolf Island,” a selection that explains what happens to the plants and animals on an island when a family of wolves that lives there leaves. After your child has finished reading the selection, you may want to complete the following activity together.
Have your child tell you how and why the wolves leave the island. Then ask him or her to explain what happens to the deer, rabbits, mice, foxes, and owls as a result.
